WID is pleased to announce the 2013-2014 Emerging Interfaces Award. EIA promotes creative and engaging explorations at interfaces between science and the arts, humanities, social sciences, and education. The award will provide recipients with an opportunity to pursue an academic yearlong project at the Institute.

Award recipients will receive a $2,000 stipend and have access to the Discovery Building and WID community events such as teas/seminars.

Application and selection process

To be considered, candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree, and must be pursuing further training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison at the master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral level.  In areas that do not offer a degree beyond the bachelor’s level, applications by senior-level candidates for bachelor-level degrees will be considered. Awards will be announced on July 1, 2013.

To be considered, your application must be submitted through the application portal and should include the following:

  • A completed questionnaire
  • A letter of support/recommendation
  • A curriculum vitae
