Supporting creative explorations at the interfaces of disciplines, WID provides graduate students the opportunity to pursue research projects that tie technology, science, the arts, humanities, social sciences and education into their respective fields. Awards come with funding and access to WID expertise to help bring projects to fruition.
Former award recipients have asked whether square dancing promotes cooperation, explored personal relationships with objects through glass blowing and studied the biomechanics of playing the piano.
