2018 WID Symposium

The First Annual WID Symposium features research talks, hub updates, poster sessions, networking opportunities, and more. This event is integral to being a WIDite, so please make your attendance a top priority and encourage your colleagues to do the same.

The focus of this year’s symposium is the newly formed hubs. As we approach the one-year mark in WID’s Strategic Plan, the hubs are beginning to nucleate campus researchers, hire staff, and provide services. We will hear from leaders in each of the hubs as well as from graduate students and postdoctoral researchers engaged in research in each of the hubs.

Lab Posters – The morning poster session of the symposium features lab summary posters—the labs of WID faculty and resident discovery fellows created posters for this session adhering to specific criteria.

Research Posters – The afternoon poster session at the WID Symposium features research posters from all areas of WID. Poster boards at the Pyle Center ar 4’x6′.

Venue – The entire symposium will take place at UW Extension’s Pyle Center at 702 Langdon St. See details about Pyle here and find information about parking nearby here.
