Patricia Flatley Brennan developed a series of Web-based interventions designed to reduce isolation and improve self-care among home care patients. She is also National Program Director of Project HealthDesign, a RWJ–funded initiative designed to stimulate the next generation of personal health records. Brennan is fellow of both the American Academy of Nursing (1991) and the American College of Medical Informatics (1993) and in 2002 was elected to the of the Institute of Medicine.
