Genomics Data Carpentry
Fundamental Data Skills Workshop. Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills learned to their own research. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. Genomics Data Carpentry
Fundamental Data Skills Workshop. Data Carpentry’s aim is to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain. This workshop teaches data management and analysis for genomics research including: best practices for organization of bioinformatics projects and data, use of command-line utilities, use of command-line tools to analyze sequence quality and perform variant calling, connecting to and using cloud computing, and using R for analysis. CONTACT: facilitator@datascience.wisc.edu URL: https://uw-madison-datascience.github.io/2025-08-04-uwmadison-dc/
