What happens when a global network of student scientists, researchers, and educators comes together in one place? Discovery. Innovation. Community.

In mid-June, the @tinyearthnet Summer Symposium brought antibiotic research to life at UW–Madison—featuring student findings, global collaboration, and bold ideas in science education. Headquartered at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, Tiny Earth continues to empower the next generation of scientists to take on the global challenge of antibiotic resistance. 🌎💡 #TinyEarth #StudentScience
The Wisconsin Institute for Discovery is a research hub where scientists, educators, and creators team up across disciplines to tackle real-world challenges.

Located in the heart of the Discovery Building, WID also welcomes the public through exhibits, events, and vibrant gathering spaces—from symposiums to murals to trees with prehistoric roots.

Whether you're here to collaborate or just explore, you’re stepping into something bigger.
Congratulations to Sophomore Research award winner Giulia Scimonelli from the Saha Lab. Generous grants from the Brittingham Wisconsin Trust, the Knapp Bequest, and the Division for Teaching and Learning provide undergraduates with $3,000 to pursue a research project under the mentorship of UW–Madison faculty or staff. Ms. Scimonelli will study T Cell Phenotype Enrichment Through mRNA Delivery for Enhanced CAR-T Manufacturing.

UW–Madison Land Acknowledgement

The Office of Compliance occupies ancestral Ho-Chunk land, a place their nation has called Teejop (day-JOPE) since time immemorial. In an 1832 treaty, the Ho-Chunk were forced to cede this territory. Decades of ethnic cleansing followed when both the federal and state government repeatedly, but unsuccessfully, sought to forcibly remove the Ho-Chunk from Wisconsin.
We acknowledge the circumstances that led to the forced removal of the Ho-Chunk people, and honor their legacy of resistance and resilience. This history of colonization informs our work and vision for a collaborative future. We recognize and respect the inherent sovereignty of the Ho-Chunk Nation and the other 11 Native Nations within the boundaries of the state of Wisconsin.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
