Michal Engelman is Professor of Sociology, Director of the Center for Demography of Health & Aging, and Principal Investigator of the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study. She leads the RISE-THRIVE Collaboration Headquarters based at WID. Her research combines perspectives from the social sciences and public health to examine the social determinants of longevity and physical and cognitive health in later life.
