Sustaining Wisconsin’s agricultural tradition while powering its clean energy future.
Badgervoltaics™ is a community of practice that brings together students, researchers and industry professionals who share an interest in exploring the topic of agrivoltaics in Wisconsin. Agrivoltaics is a win-win solution where solar arrays are planned for multiple-uses in the same location. Research in dual-use technologies, such as agrivoltaics, broadly supports the goals of improving the affordability, performance and value of solar technologies and establishing a domestic manufacturing base.
Badgervoltaics™ is agrivoltaics with the Wisconsin Idea top of mind.

What We Do
Events and activities help our community explore the rapidly developing field of agrivoltaics, share knowledge and resources, and support work. We invite guest speakers such as industry experts, university researchers and student groups to share about their work. Discussions are informal, we welcome all levels of interest and experience – from those seeking information about fundamental principles to people who are pursuing courses of study and career – and everyone in between!
