    The Institute for Foundations of Data Science (IFDS) (https://ifds.info) will celebrate 9 years of existence with a Research Expo, organized jointly with our partners at U. Washington, U. Chicago, and UC-Santa Cruz. All who have been associated with IFDS in any way, and all interested in foundational issues in data science, machine learning, and AI are welcome. A focus of the workshop will be to consider how theoretical, fundamental issues in data science have evolved over the past 9 years.     Sci-prov: The Workshop – Stage Presence

    Better science communication through improv.. These 2-hour workshops are designed for graduate students, post-docs, staff, and faculty in STEM related fields who want to sharpen their ability to communicate effectively and adaptively. These sessions provide a lively, low-stakes space to build confidence in handling the unexpected and the ability to pivot one’s communication.
