Summer 2016 – Xuehua Zhong

A recently awarded Toepfer Fellow, Xuehua Xhong (Epigenetics) broke away from the lab in early August for a road trip to Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, Wind Cave National Park, and Badlands National Park.

In her words: “I like to travel with my family. We are particularly interested in the national parks. We have already visited many national parks including Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, and Yosemite. This is the first national park we have visited since moving to Madison. These traveling activities have proved to be the happiest moments for my family and me. A memorable moment included when we drove through Bear Country USA (Wildlife animal park) in South Dakota–a black bear liked our car and bit it!”
