Kris Saha (BIONATES) was recently awarded the EAGER project and the MIRA award. His biggest accomplishment was outside the lab–nurturing his newly expanded family.
In his words: “My summer ‘vacation’ was spent caring for our new baby, Ruby! She was born on May 22, 2016, weighing in at 7 lbs 8 oz. As an aside, it was precisely one week before an important grant deadline (we submitted the grant on the deadline, and it was funded!). We were also kept busy by her older sister, Mackenzie – age 4, who had a packed summer with soccer, science camp and swimming. Overall, it was a great summer, bonding as a family of four.”
